Advanced care planning involves patients making decisions about the medical care they will receive should they become unable to speak for themselves. Hospitals must comply with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations and standards, as well as The Patient Self-Determination Act, which requires hospitals to inform patients of their rights under state law regarding medical care decisions. 
 This webinar will discuss the CMS hospital Conditions of Participation (CoPs) on advance directives to help hospitals ensure compliance.??
